Is Google Getting Meaner?

People come to us each and every day complaining about Google Adwords. "My CPC just got jacked to $12.00/click"... "Google is not displaying my ads"... "I HATE GOOGLE!"

We hear it all, and we know where people are coming from. Without adequate knowledge and a solid understanding in Adwords, you ARE going to have a difficult time beating the system and your competitors. There are just a few things that you need to know in order to succeed with Adwords that will turn your hate into love very quickly. There are as follows:

Quality Score - If you have not heard about this, you need to get help immediately. If you are trying to survive within the Adwords world without have a great understanding of Google's Quality Score algorithm, you are going in with a blind-fold on. This is the first language you need to be fluent in.

Landing Page Relevance - Probably the single most important component of your overall success these days will stem from whether or not your landing page is relevant and whether or not it delivers the information that your visitors are seeking. If you do not understand relevance then your campaigns are "running wild"!

Ad Writing Skills - If people do not click on your ads then you are not going to get traffic to your site (or sales). There are many techniques that can improve your ad's performance and the overall Click-through Ratio that your ads receive. The more traffic your ads get, the lower your CPC will be.

How to Test - Testing, testing, testing! What can we say? If you do not know how to perform a quick and easy test that will help you optimize your campaigns, then you are flushing a lot of money right down the Google toilet (you are also fattening their pockets). If you do not have some sort of analytics set-up, then your campaigns are not running optimized!
