Hi Tavacha,

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which
is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by
experience, which is the bitterest. -Confucius

Bitter experience.. Experience isn't always bitter, but if you have
been in business for any length of time, you'll be thinking right now
of some bitter happenings in the past years you've experienced.

But.. in the end, through bitterness comes wisdom. As one learns the
in's and out's of the human and business experience.

Many of the lessons I've learned in the past still serve me today.

A few..

- Always Hedge Your Bets
- Never Forget About Others and Give Generously
- Work Hard and Then Work Harder.. If You Want It You'll Have It
- Turn the Other Cheek.
- Forgive.. and Forget Quickly
- Don't Take Your Current Situation for Granted
- Play Chess.. Always be looking several moves ahead of where you are.
- Have a Contingency Plan
- Always Have an Exit Plan..

A new one has just been added to my Repertoire..

- Become the Leader and Don't Be Pushed Aside

Most of you that know me know that I am sort of outside the norm.. I
don't follow the lead and the methods of the righteous few marketers
that set the pace.

I would say I'm a leader on many levels. If I wasn't, I wouldn't even
be typing this - I'd be being told to type it for someone elses list.

But.. Alas, I have always been one that finds himself in the situation
of having others in control on some level. And I tend to depend on them
to much.. I don't speak up when I have something to say. I don't bark
when I don't agree with something or am concerned.

But.. As experienced has shown me on several occassions now in my
business endeavors, that always ends badly.

Take control of your circumstances. BE THE LEADER. Speak Your Mind.
Make sure there is transparency in everything you do with others.

And when things do shake up and start spiraling down..

Don't except weakness and defeat.. Don't let frustration take the wind
out of your sails. Fight back. Be strong and take the lead. Even if
it's on another front.
